Departure Time
They’ve got to go….that’s just the way it is…when the autumn winds begins to blow they start gathering for that long and arduous journey back to Africa.
There were many swallows on the marsh…gathering in the trees and joyfully partaking in a communal twitter…it was obvious to me what they were up to…I’m just glad I got a chance to say goodbye this year. π

Always a rather sad moment, I think, when the swallows leave. The real marker for the end of summer. We saw a very few in Kent last weekend, but they’ve mostly gone now from the UK I think (a bit later than usual).
