Just like an Oxpecker feeding on the back of a Rhinoceros…except this time it’s a Magpie on the back of a cow…the scene is obviously not Sub-Saharan Africa but the pastures of Friesland basking in the autumnal sun… 😉
Destination Africa
Most of the birds of passage have already left, the godwits, cuckoos and swifts left early…the rest are on their journey right about now like the spoonbills (above), the storks and bluethroats (below) and I shall miss them…they didn’t even say goodbye 😦 …one day I just noticed they were not there anymore…it all happens so quickly.
