Amphibious Reinstatement
Usually when I approach this small shallow pingo ruin on the edge of the forest I hear a succession of small splashes as the frogs retreat to the safety of the water. This day was no different even though I did try to creep up on them….so I just sat down by the waters edge and waited…
Surely enough, one by one, the frogs gradually began to return until the point that I was surrounded by these amphibians…in the first picture above, this curious frog hopped right up to the lens… π
Superb photographs and what better evidence that patience can and does reward you.

Thank you Keith! It was a nice place to sit and wait in the sun…and the frogs kept me amused! π

I just wish I could find a way to convince my two terriers that there is value for me in their keeping still and quiet, so I can photograph the creatures they would so dearly like to hunt!

I think that will probably be very difficult…I used to have a fox terrier who had to swim if she saw water…and no self-respecting canine can remain still if a rabbit runs by… π
